François Nasica is a contemporary French painter born in 1964

He lives and works in Nice, FRANCE.

​

His work is marked by a complex exploration of human nature and its interactions with the surrounding world.

​

Nasica’s art delves into the tensions between the individual and the collective, between nature and culture. His compositions often include elements that reflect social and cultural constructs, such as buildings or cities, which are also in conflict with natural elements. This tension is especially palpable in pieces where urban structures appear to be consumed by nature, or where natural landscapes are altered by human impact.

Through the lens of major political causes, he also warns us about the dangers of certain behaviors. Among these ever-relevant issues are ecology, the rights of LGBTQI+ individuals—particularly the transgender community—and the endangerment of immigrant populations in the face of rising racism, populism, and religious extremism.

Overall, his work offers a fascinating testimony to the complexity of human experience, our relationship with nature, and the ways our actions affect the world around us. His unique artistic style blends abstraction and figuration. Regardless of the medium—black and white or color, canvas or other surfaces—his graphic language remains consistent.
